Dr Sabine Lijesen is Oundle's NED

Oundle GP Sabine Lijesen is the practice’s new Non-Executive Director, representing the interests of the practice to the wider Lakeside Partnership.

Ms Lijesen followed her father into the profession and trained as a GP in Amsterdam. She has been working in Oundle for eight years and took over the NED role in January 2023.  

She said: ‘We have had a number of partners that have retired or are about to, in a relatively short space of time and although we are sad to see colleagues go it also gives an opportunities to build a new team. I am also Safeguarding and prescribing lead, so I do have a lot of roles to juggle. Workload is going up in clinical practice and there’s a lot of changes, but I love General Practice and the breadth of patients and cases that we see.’
